A full replacement involves removing the existing covering, checking and where necessary attending to the timbers, fitting new membrane and battens, laying the new covering and completing ridge, verge, valley and flashing detailing so the roof works as a whole.

We work with slate and tiled coverings, choosing a specification appropriate to the property, its exposure and the character of the surrounding street.

Strip-and-recover projects give you a completely renewed roof covering and weather protection while retaining a sound existing structure — often the most sensible route for an older North East home.
