New Roofs
Blyth, Northumberland
The problem: An ageing pitched roof with repeated leaks in several areas and a covering that had begun failing generally rather than in one place.
Work completed: A complete strip and recover of an ageing pitched roof, replacing the existing roof covering and completing associated finishing work.
Chimneys / Leadwork
Northumberland
The problem: Water appearing on a bedroom ceiling near the chimney breast after heavy, wind-driven rain.
Work completed: Chimney stack repairs with repointing, followed by new lead flashing dressed correctly into the slate covering to close the junction between masonry and roof.
Flat Roofing
North East England
The problem: A failed flat roof over a rear extension holding water and letting damp through at the abutment.
Work completed: Replacement of the flat roof covering with corrected falls, new upstands, edge trims and outlet detailing.
Repairs
Northumberland
The problem: Slipped slates and loose ridge following a spell of severe North East weather.
Work completed: Replacement of damaged slates, re-bedding of ridge and inspection of surrounding flashings and verges to confirm nothing else had moved.
